Almost 8 Years

Come November 18th, this blog will hit its eighth birthday. Doesn’t seem that long. Covid did a lot of damage to my shooting routine; I stopped most hunting trips. I suppose that’s somewhat related to the lack of steady employment. But age, too. And hunting buddies changed, too.

The pandemic also put a crimp in the ammo department. Seems most ammo increased 40% in price. Luckily, I was on a buying binge while I still had a job. I can’t imagine what money I saved by buying before the pandemic.

I Finally Did Some Shooting

I went out northwest of Las Vegas with my Savage 64, a .22 LR rifle, and took these with it. This is a picture from a while ago, so they’re not dinged up like they are now. Although I missed the target much more often than I hit it as the blasted tremors were in rare form that day, last Sunday.

Gun Toys

I did have fun just shooting into the dirt just to see it puff up. And used as target practice various bushes (if you could call them that) to see if I could bust off some branches. All in all, a good day.

Well looky that, it didn’t take 20 minutes to post this, WordPress musta been having issues. On another blog, I tried about 50 times to upload 4 screenshots. Kept on saying “Retry?”
